Overview

Of the 4 tracks recorded by Colossus, "Zeus" was chosen as the main music-video because of its rockin'-out super-riff played by Bill's double-tracked bass. In keeping with music-video production 101, Bill and Philip are each shot and lit from below, their faces forge god-like poses - hammering like gods, as the rock journo lingo would have it. Below them, mere mortals - symbolized by made-in-China Masters of the Universe action dolls. They desperately copy their gods with bodies of frightfully phallic proportions doing some power-thrusting. Greek classicism meets plastic rock phallicism for Philistines: this is what Zeus listened to on weekends.

Technical

The video was shot on U-Matic video in a studio at Phillip Institute of Technology. Half of the video was shot during one of the original rehearsals were the track "Zeus" was composed. The rest of the video is Bill and Philip shot individually in a chromo-key studio.
