Lovestruck - Wrestling's No. 1 Fan is a 50 minute televison documentary developed by writer/director Megan Spencer. The documentary follows Sue - a devoted fan of wrestling since the 60s. The film takes us through many aspects of her obsessessions, passions, domestic environment, family issues, dealings with friends, plus her trip to the USA to catch up with her heroes of the mat.
The score to Lovestruck is composed, engineered and produced by Philip Brophy, with Philip playing drums. Bass is by Bill McDonald; guitars by Dan Luscombe; pedal steel by Garret Costigan; and vocals by Sianna Lee.
Lovestruck premiered at the Melbourne International Film Festival in 2006. The score to Lovestruck will be released on the CD Filmmusic Vol.3 by Sound Punch Records late in 2009.
