A prequel to the Slayers TV series, this first of 5 movies follows sorceress Lina Inverse on her trip to some hot springs on Mipross Island – a mystical domain with a dark past. Lina of course is fatefully cast to ensure the future of the island and battle the macho-lizard demon Joyrock. With elves, swords, crystals, spells and so on, Slayers is for young kids (who should have fun with all the boob jokes) or older people who wear capes in private. This first movie is collected with the other four, making for a marathon of fantasy for gluttons of ye olde English sprite-lore anime.
